Mumbai, January 27, 2014: Suzuki Motorcycle India Limited (SMIL), a subsidiary of one of the

new products – a 155cc motorcycle ‘Gixxer’ and a 110cc scooter ‘Let’s’.
Gixxer is Suzuki’s flagship model for the Indian market, boasting a pioneering style &
sophisticated appearance, combined with exceptional riding performance and the best fuel
economy in its class, for the Indian market. Suzuki Gixxer was unveiled by actor Salman Khan,

ClariceTechnologies, which provides product development services with a super specialization in User Experience (UX) Design and cutting-edge UI, designed and developed an application for Sensibol Technologies called Gaona which is fuss free and uncomplicated for patrons to use. This application helps users upload the songs in their own voice as well share their songs with other users.

Prior to implementation, Sensibol's user interface was complicated and lacked sophistication. Gaona was considered as basic practicing tool for karoke songs. Apart from few trial songs, it could not deploy users' choice since finding songs, performing with karaoke interface was cumbersome.

Clarice Technologies simplified song selection and karaoke experience to the extent where users can easily record songs to help generate better content on platform. It also created advancement by leveraging content/songs to build singer centric platform such as 'Weekly Top Singer Leaderboad', 'Top Songs recorded by users', etc. With Gaona application, singers can motivate other users by connecting, sharing and participating in in-app competitions.

Mumbai / Bangalore - January 27, 2014

Foxconn, world's leading manufacturer of computer components and systems, has announced that Terry Guo, chairman, Foxconn Group also founder of Yong Lin Health Care Foundation has signed with National Taiwan University (NTU) for cooperation to promote biomedical development in Taiwan.

The foundation will donate a total of NT$10 billion (US$333 million) to fund establishment of the Yong Lin Biomedical Engineering Center, a 500-bed cancer therapeutic hospital to be operated by NTU and a radiation science and proton therapy center, with the biomedical engineering center to be inaugurated  in March 2014.

Yong Lin Biomedical Engineering Center will cooperate with NTU to recruit more than 100 biomedical professionals from around the world to undertake biomedical research in cancer therapeutics. The foundation will also offer NT$5 billion to support the engineering center's research in cell therapy, radiation medicine, smart hospital, prevention medicine, medical electronics and biomedical materials.

ESET, global provider of security solutions for businesses and consumer, has earned the "Gold Award" for anti-phishing protection from AV-Comparatives, an independent testing authority - as reported in their annual report.

The advanced Anti-Phishing Module was been introduced in the sixth generation of ESET Smart Security with the latest, seventh version, offering enhanced anti-phishing protection.  Anti-Phishing technology protects one from attempts to acquire passwords, banking data and other sensitive information by fake websites masquerading as legitimate ones. The dedicated module includes an extended database of phishing sites as well as verified reports by users and partners. 

The Anti-phishing database is updated by ESET regularly (users' computers receive data about new phishing threats every 20 minutes) and this database includes information from the partners as well. Along this straightforward approach, ESET Anti-Phishing implements specific proactive algorithms. These inspect the visual design of websites in an effort to eliminate those acting as parasites on their genuine counterparts. This approach is used to detect for example fake internet banking forms.

"Phishing websites attempt to steal money from their victims without making any changes to the computer or device being used to access them. A security product that warns of known/suspected phishing sites can protect the user from fraud," states AV-Comparatives and continues that ESET flagship security product ESET Smart Security has blocked the most phishing websites in their tests - 99%. "We found the interface of ESET Smart Security 7 to be excellent. The program is, in our opinion, very clear and easy to use, even on a touchscreen device," concludes AV-Comparatives it's analysis.

New Delhi, Friday, 24rd January, 2014: To make a long term and sustainable impact in the three areas of Eye Care, Education and Environment, Canon India Pvt. Ltd. decided to adopt a village in 2012, make it sustainable and then replicate the model in other needy communities.
In line with its continued commitment to the society, Canon  today, on the occasion of its first anniversary of the  “Adopt A Village” programme, has added yet another milestone to its philanthropic efforts by donating twenty solar panels to the energy production centre at Ferozpur Namak village in Mewat District of Haryana. Installed on the roof of the government school in the village, these solar panels would enable 30 fans and up to 20 lights to be operational for 6 to 8 hrs in a day.
Expressing his views on the occasion, Mr. Kazutada Kobayashi, President & CEO, Canon India said, “The Ferozpur Namak Village is the first project under our holistic Adopt a Village campaign and has successfully completed one year of operation. Our purpose was to bring up the village under the three areas of our core CSR policy – Education, Eye Care and Environment. During the last one year, there have been significant improvements in the overall infrastructure of the school, adopted under this campaign at the village. We are proud of this significant achievement and want to help the village to become self-sustainable in the long run enabling us to bring more villages under this program.”
The company had recently donated an eye check-up machine to the vision centre in the village. Since its inception in November 2012, Canon’s ‘Adopt a Village’ project has seen several milestones with regards to the eye care facility including screening of 6,000 patients, 187 eye surgeries and 52 eye screening camps.
One of the major highlights has been that the enrolment of girl child in senior classes at the government school in the village has increased by 83% from last year with an increase in the number of teachers at the school from 09 to 44. 
To further strengthen its Adopt a village project in 2014, Canon will focus on quality of education through Teachers’ Capability Trainings, establishment of a computer lab and a series of community engagement programmes for sustainability at the village school. In the vision centre, Canon aims to make provisions for conducting surgery and multiple successors training. A sanitation drive will begin for overall village community development.
By 2016, the company aims to benefit 50,000 people in Ferozpur Namak and neighboring villages for Eye Care, development of 1,500 children, improved sanitation and water situation to improve quality of life of 9,000 people in 1,100 households.
Other CSR projects undertaken by the company include adoption of 3 rapid metro stations for creating a green belt around them in Gurgaon and a photo exchange program between Canon India and Canon China wherein kids in the adopted villages of these two countries click pictures with Canon cameras and share them across boundaries with each other.
Going forward, Canon India Pvt. Ltd. plans to initiate its village adoption programmes in Bangalore & Mumbai.

The colorful cultural extravaganza, Jashn-e-Rizvi 2014 – the Annual Inter College Youth Festival organized by Rizvi College of Arts, Science and Commerce is inaugurated by Dr. Manjusha S. Molwane, Joint Director (i/c) Higher Education, Mumbai Region.

In his welcome address Dr. M. Z. Farooqui, Principal, Rizvi college underlined the importance of organizing cultural events at inter collegiate level to boost the talents of the students. He thanked Mr. Aneel Murarka, Managing Director, Mirachem Industries for his undying support to the college and the youths by sponsoring the rolling trophy used at Inter college festival.

Mr. Murarka instituted this trophy to promote youth talent through inter collegiate and inter school and interstate competitions, providing a platform for students to showcase their cultural and literary skills.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Murarka said, "Under the age of 30 we learn, between the age of 30-60 we earn and we learn, from the age of 60 onwards we give back to society. We need to learn to give back to society right from the start."

He ended his speech saying "Jo Bhi Karo, Dil Se Karo" (Whatever you do (in life), put your heart into it).

Jashn-e-Rizvi, the annual cultural event includes many competitions like Antakshari, Debate, Solo Dance, Fashion Parade, Rangoli, Flower-Arrangement, Personality contest and so on. Every year more than 50 colleges participate in this colourful cultural festival.

Mumbai, January, 2014: Navi Mumbai, will hold its first ever Film Festival, on 31st January to 2nd February 2014. The festival will be held at the DY Patil Auditorium in Nerul, one of the largest auditoriums in the city. On this occasion Navi Mumbai International Film Festival (NMIFF) felicitates two reputed personalities of Indian Cinema Sachin Pilgaonkar and Ravi Jhadhav. Mr Chhagan Bhujbal, Minister of Public works; Maharashtra State will felicitate Sachin Pilgaonkar on the 31st January, 2014. Ravi Jhadhav will be felicitated by Humanity First Foundation on the 2nd Feb.
Starting as a child actor, in Marathi film, Ha Majha Marg Ekla (1962), Mr. Sachin Pilgaonkar went on to act in around 65 films as a child artiste, before switching to adult roles. He has recently completely splendid 50 years in Indian Cinema. Mr. Ravi Jadhav has immensely contributed to Marathi Cinema with his award winning films like Natarang and Balgandharva’. The national award director has again won the hearts of the audience with his recent movie ‘Time pass.’

Riso Cancer Awareness Cup 2014



Inviting women's football teams from Mumbai to participate in the Riso Cancer Awareness Cup 2014. Riso Cancer Awareness Cup is an initiative to spread awareness about breast cancer, its causes and prevention. The maiden year of Riso Cancer Awareness Cup  will see participation of 32 women’s football teams from across Mumbai. The tournament will be held on the occasion of World Cancer Day on 4th February 2014 at MSSA grounds, Azad Maidan, Mumbai.  The tournament will be followed by a silent march from Azad Maidan to Gateway of India to spread awareness on breast cancer.
Entry is free and strictly based on first come first serve basis. So ladies, come forward and be a part of this initiative to fight against breast cancer.
